First Impression
Before visiting Royal Pavilion Camp, I checked its official website and saw some pictures. Those pictures were so beautiful; that’s why I wanted to visit this camp.
When I reached the campsite, I was immediately attracted to the panoramic view. The location, surroundings, the huge area of the campsite, beautiful Rajasthani traditional designs on each tent, and the calm yet luxurious vibe were appreciable.
The area of the campsite was so huge, containing more than 10 bighas. The location itself is very unique and interesting. The golden sands, Rajasthani traditional designs on tents, and windmills in the surroundings add to the beauty of the campsite.
One thing I definitely want to mention about Royal Pavilion Camp is that the campsite, as well as every tent, was very clean. The bathrooms inside the tents were properly cleaned and hygienic.

Location & Surrounding
Royal Pavilion Camp is located near Sam Desert, Kanoi in Jaisalmer. It is only 2 km from Kanoi Village and 35 km from the Jaisalmer city center.
The camp is easily accessible. Whether you are visiting by private vehicle or using public transport like auto, jeep, or bus, it takes approximately 35 – 45 minutes to reach. If you encounter any difficulties in reaching the camp, you can contact the manager, and he will assist you.
Surrounded by other camps, windmills, sand mounds, and various desert plants like khair, cactus, beri, and babul, Royal Pavilion Camp offers an authentic desert experience to its guests.

As the name “Royal Pavilion Camp” suggests, it is actually a luxurious desert camp in Jaisalmer. There are a total of 30 tents on the property, each containing a 14*28 square feet area.
Every tent is equipped with all modern amenities, such as a tea maker, air conditioner, cooler, geyser, working table, decent ceiling light, charging spots near the bed, fan, a very clean and hygienic toilet, a dustbin in the room, and chairs on the balcony to relax and enjoy the view.
The room is very spacious, with beautiful Rajasthani designs on the tent walls. The room is designed for two people but can accommodate up to three persons.
There are also AC and non-AC tents. So, you will have a choice among these two types of rooms.

Every member of the staff is very helpful. I wanted to visit a nearby school named Rajkumari Ratnavati Girls School, which is very famous for its unique architecture. I asked Mr. Gautam about it, and he arranged transportation for me to visit there.

The third thing is the food I had there. It was so tasty. I really enjoyed the Rajasthani famous foods like Daal Baati, Churma, and Basan ka Gatta.
